The Channel M Project at Salford University

November 2008 saw the 10th anniversary of Channel M production at the University of Salford.

Between 1998 - 2008, more than 1,000 students passed through the Channel M scheme, cutting their teeth in ‘real world’ production and collecting no less than 11 RTS broadcast nominations along the way (not to mention five wins!)

During that time, they made history (collectively) with the most successful student television programmes in the country - no, let's say the planet. (They can try to prove us wrong).

Hitting Home; Interference; Gloves Off; Reel North; Zeitgeist; Manchester Exchange. Did you work on one of them?

To commemorate this milestone, the University held a once-in-a-lifetime reunion in Manchester on 28th November 2008. Past student - as well as contributors, presenters, contacts - were invited to attend.

Of course, many of them - in all corners of the world - were thinking, 'is it really worth it?' Je suis 'avin une nice cup du cafe dans le Pari. Iz nice sunbathing ila viva Espana. Mina relaxing, hot sauna ala Finland (sorry, Suomi). Geezah, I'm too busy posin' darn the Chelsea High Street in Laaaaahdon - you're 'aving' a larf!

But still, around 400 travelled from far & wide.

Thanks to everyone who made it to the event.
